The Quick Alert Cordless Bed Alarm System eliminates cords between the alarm and bed sensor pad, allowing for a peaceful environment without alarm noise near the patient.
Alerts you immediately if your patient is getting out of their bed, up to 15-20' away! (Range can be impacted by environmental factors.)
Choose your bed pad size: 10" x 30" pad (for a patient weighing 120 lbs. or more) or a 20" x 30" pad (for a patient weighing less than 120 lbs, +$10)*.
The long term bed sensor pad is incontinence resistant and features a foam interior for comfort.
Alarm is hospital grade, with safety features making it perfect for facilities, or with those patients who are very quick to their feet.
Alarm features a status light (so you know everything is correctly working), a low battery light, a pad lost light that lets you know if the sensor pad has become disconnected in any way, tone, volume, and delay options, and a patented tamper-proof setting called Caregiver Key, allowing only the caregiver to silence the alarm. Protective cover and hanging strap are included.
Alarm can function with up to two (2) cordless sensor pads. To order an additional pad, see our Related Products section at the bottom of the page.
Alarm operates on three (3) AA batteries (not included), or order the optional AC Adapter from the Package Options drop down box when adding to your cart (+$9.95). If you choose to add this to your package, we recommend you always keep batteries in the alarm as a backup in case you have an electrical power failure.
Place the bed pad under the lower sheet in the bed in the upper back area of the patient, so that when they sit up to get out of bed, the alarm will sound with the caregiver.
If a cordless system with a range greater than 15-20' is required, see our Cordless Bed Alarm System.
*Using this system with certain types of mattresses or cushions, such as memory foam, Tempur-Pedic®, air pressure alternating, gel cushions, or other ones designed to distribute pressure away from the body, can cause false alarm responses. When sensor pads are used on these surfaces, the mattresses/cushions distribute body pressure away from the pads, which can cause the pad to think that the patient is no longer upon it, triggering an alarm. Conversely, these mattresses/cushions can also cause delayed alarm issues. Our 20" x 30" sensor pads are more effective when used with these types of mattresses, so we recommend purchasing the larger pad, regardless of patient weight.
(Please note, before removing a cordless pad from use and storing for any period of time, we recommend turning off the transmitter inside the pouch at the edge of the pad. This will conserve the pad's battery life. Remember to turn the transmitter back on before placing the pad back into use. Also, pads should not be folded for storage. Contact us if any assistance is needed.)
One year manufacturer warranty. Long term pads are expected to last a year and are warrantied as such. The pads should be replaced after that time. To order a new pad, see our Replacement Cordless Sensor Pads.
