This is a great improvement on a regular, stand alone motion sensor.
The motion sensor monitors a cone shaped field that measures 30' in front and 15' on sides from where sensor is placed. When the motion sensor field is crossed as your patient is trying to get up or leave a room, a signal is sent to the pager, which can be up to 300' away. The pager can be worn by the caregiver, or use its built-in stand to place on a counter or bedside table.
When pager receives the signal, you have your choice of hearing a chime or a brief tune. (The approximate volume level of that alert is 70-80 decibels.) The motion sensor itself is silent. A great way to monitor without disturbing everyone in the house!
Motion sensor requires 3 AA batteries, (not included), or purchase the optional AC adapter (model AC-04E) for $9.95 when adding to your cart. Having the AC Adapter will save money on battery expense over the life of the product.
Caregiver pager requires 2 AA batteries, (not included).
