Package 5A - Chair Alarm System with Wireless Pager (Alarm Near OR Away from Patient)

Package Includes:
Chair alarm monitor, a wireless caregiver pager, and a 10" x 15" long term chair sensor pad.

This chair alarm monitor and wireless caregiver pager system allows you the option to remove alert noise from the patient's room. When the patient exits their chair, a pager alerts the caregiver, up to 150 ft. away. This is a versatile system, however. If an alert within the room would remind the patient to wait for the caregiver, the chair alarm monitor's volume can be adjusted from the default silent setting. That way, the patient would receive an alert in their room, and the caregiver would receive an alert on their pager.

Features:
Chair alarm monitor features volume control (varies between 70-80 decibels), a low battery indicator, and a pad disconnect indicator for safety.

Sensor pad is made of soft cushioned vinyl, is incontinence resistant, and is easy to wipe clean (see care instructions on pad).

Pager has adjustable volume, (varying between 70-80 decibels), language/tone options, a silent vibration mode, an LCD screen which lights up when the alert is received, and a belt clip which can double as a built-in stand.

How to choose the package that's right for your needs:

Power chair alarm monitor with three (3) AA batteries (not included).

Add an AC Adapter for chair alarm monitor (+$9.95). If adding to your package, we recommend keeping batteries in the alarm as a backup in case of an electrical power failure.

Pager requires two (2) AA batteries (not included).

How to use:
First, decide if you want the chair alarm monitor to sound an alert or be silent in the patient's room, as the default is silent. The volume adjustment is located inside the battery compartment. Attach the pad to the chair alarm monitor. Place the pad toward the back of the seat of the chair to be monitored. When the patient removes their weight from the pad, the chair alarm monitor will send a signal to the pager, which will then alert. Silence the alarm system by pressing the "Reset" button on the front of the chair alarm monitor in the patient's room. The system will also reset itself if the patient puts pressure back on the pad.

Please note that the chair alarm monitor inside the room does emit two quick activation beeps when pressure is put on the pad. This is a safety feature that lets you know your system is working properly.

Note on using with a Memory Foam, Gel, or Air cushion:
Using this system with certain types of cushions, such as memory foam, air or gel cushions, or other types designed to distribute pressure away from the body, can cause false alarm responses or delayed alarm issues.

Warranty:
Chair alarm monitor and long term pad sensor pad are both covered by a one year manufacturer warranty. The pads should be replaced after that time. To order a new pad, see our Replacement Standard Sensor Pads.

Caregiver pager is covered by a 6 month manufacturer warranty.
